Every month, Amanda Bickell and her hubby Bryan Bickell, #29 of the Blackhawks, find a special pooch who needs a home through the Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation’s “Bick’s Pits” program. Listen as Amanda tells us about this month’s special doggy.
Meet Stevie, a handsome 90 pound 2 1/2 year old boy!

Hi! I’m Stevie! I’m 2 1/2, and I need a home. Wanna adopt me? Learn how at http://www.bickellfoundation.org
Here’s what Stevie wants you to know:
Dear potential adopter,
Last winter, in the cold February of 2014, I was found on the streets of Gary, IN. I was skinny and hungry and homeless, and had been alone for months.
Luckily, some super nice humans from Dogs are Deserving rescued me, and found me a great foster mommy. I even got to graduate from Doggie K9 Academy at the top of my class! But I’m not bragging or anything.
Now, I’m a big, healthy, silly boy. I could entertain you for hours while I play with my bones and toys and treats! I love snuggling on the couch with people. Oh, and I love car rides. I’m a great back seat driver– I won’t say a word. I’ll be too busy looking out the window.

Did somebody say “car ride??” I love those! My name is Stevie, and I need a home! Learn how to adopt me at http://www.bickellfoundation.org
I’m not a fan of those furry things called cats, but I wouldn’t mind having some dogs my size to play with. I am fully potty trained, very smart (I mean, I am writing you this letter. How many dogs can do that?), and eager to please.
Won’t you adopt me? I’ll love you forever!
Love, Stevie
